Description

Nipol® NBR elastomers are found in a wide range of industrial sealing applications. Low water swell and oil/grease resistance make these elastomers ideal for plumbing and food contact sealing applications.

Environment

NBR seals for plumbing require low compression set and low water swell characteristics. In food contact applications, the incorporation of FDA compliant materials into the compound is essential. The formulation must be designed to minimize the potential for migration into food products. Because these parts are typically compression molded, an easy processing, low mold fouling elastomer such as Nipol DN 3335 is recommended.
